Thanks for your post! It seems like I have the same problem here. Seems like many do not know how to communicate. If you can not communicate how do you expect to play and have sex? I don't get it

Quite often e-mails I receive are from people totally outside my age range preference or too far away or married or......It's obvious that many do not read profiles. If I receive a nice compliment, even if from someone who does not come even close to any of my preferences, I will acknowledge it with a thank you, just to be polite, but this usually produces a further e-mail exchange which I really don't want. Sometimes a polite decline results in an abusive response. Sometimes no response is best, although that occasionally generates further e-mails from the sender. Damned if you do and damned if you don't, so I just do whatever I'm comfortable with.

Same for IM. Few if any responses. I know the messenger sucks but can't tell who's real and who's not, or what's the story with responses even mid conversation

Your profile is for a single woman, but you have a partner/husband? perhaps people aren't sure which way you swing? just a thought
